Gabriel is owner & director of South Florida Rehab & Training Center. He has provided physical therapy and sports rehabilitation to athletes and performers of all levels. Previous to launching South Florida Rehab & Training center in 2007, Gabriel worked for 6 years in Outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, neurologic rehabilitation, and sport-specific training as a physical therapist at Sportfit, Doctor’s Hospital and Nova Southeastern University Clinic. Since 2007 he has provided rehab and therapy to MLB, NBA, WTA players, Iron Man tri- thletes, power-lifters, swimmers, mixed martial artists, Crossfit and University football and baseball players. He has also worked with major marathons; these include the ING of Miami, and Puerto Rico Marathon. As a certified ART practitioner, he has also worked extensively with tri-athletes and runners of all levels. Gabriel is well recognized in the orthopedic community here in Miami as well as throughout the United States.

His facility is certified in ART, RockTape, Trigger Point, FMS, Throwing Program (The National Pitching Association and Rod Dedeaux Research Baseball Institute), and in November we will also be certified in Graston Techniques. Our facility strives in having the newest equipment and technologies in physical therapy, such as cold laser therapy, Alter –G (anti-gravity treadmill), custom-made orthotics and deep muscle stimulators to name a few.

In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family and enjoys cycling for fitness.

David Felipe, our Vice President of Clinical Operations, earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Florida International University. With expertise in orthopedic rehab and sport-specific training, he optimizes athletic performance. Hailing from Miami, David excelled in football and lacrosse at Miami Killian before joining Guilford College’s Division III lacrosse team for four years. He graduated in 2017 with double majors in Sports Medicine and Health Sciences. David’s approach emphasizes patient-centered care, enhancing overall well-being beyond acute injury treatment. He aims to elevate performance in sports and daily activities, reflecting his commitment to comprehensive care.

Meet Javier Lillo , a highly motivated and dedicated individual who has carved a niche for themselves in the field of exercise therapy and strength and conditioning coaching. With a strong passion for exercise and a burning desire to make a difference in people’s lives, he has successfully obtained certifications as an exercise therapist and a strength and conditioning coach. However, his aspirations do not stop there. Javier harbors a long-term goal of becoming a doctor of physical therapy, driven by his unwavering commitment to helping others achieve optimal physical health and well-being. With his extensive knowledge, experience, and unwavering determination, Javier is poised to make a significant impact in the field of physical therapy and continue to inspire others to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Nikko is a dedicated PTA who recently earned his PTA degree from Keiser University in 2022 and holds a Bachelor’s in Sports and Fitness Studies from FIU in 2020. Before joining the PTA program, he worked as a PT technician at sports and orthopedic clinics for 2 years and had a clinical rotation in a long term acute care setting. During his time at FIU, he actively participated in the cycling club and was a member of a competitive hip-hop dance crew. In high school, he was part of the cross country, track, and soccer teams. With a lifelong commitment to a healthy lifestyle, he continues to nurture his passion for running, cycling, and other hobbies. Nikko is excited to contribute his knowledge and experience to support patients on their path to optimal health and wellness as a valuable member of our dynamic team.

Luc Faustin became a Physical Therapist Assistant by receiving his degree from Miami Dade College, Medical Campus. Luc has been a Certified Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist for 10+ years and has a passion for fitness and health. He has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Specializing in weight loss, strength, and mobility training. Client goals range from weight loss to sports-specific strength and conditioning. Luc believes that strength and mobility lead to an active pain-free life. Luc’s overall goal is to improve a patient’s activities of daily living. He believes that rehabbing an injury is an opportunity for a patient to gain added awareness and knowledge about their body. Not only the possible limitations post-injury, but unlocking its potential, post-rehabilitation.

Dr Jacqueline Junco is a medically trained doctor who is certified in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her knowledge of Western medicine and natural alternatives creates a powerful combination of modern technology and ancient therapies that are used to treat a vast majority of health conditions.

During her extensive 20+ year career as a health care professional, she has acquired training and certifications in integrative nutrition, preventative medicine, sound healing, meditation & breathwork, epigenetics, auricular acupuncture, anti-aging, cosmetic acupuncture, neuro acupuncture, immunology, sports acupuncture, acupuncture injection therapy, and addiction medicine.

She received her Medical Doctor degree from Universidad Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic, residency in general surgery at Morristown Memorial in New Jersey and Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Miami. Dr. Junco completed a master’s in public health with a specialty in preventative medicine from the University of Miami and certification in integrative nutrition from the University of Miami.She also obtained a master’s degree in Chinese medicine from Acupuncture Massage College. Dr. Junco was a clinical researcher at the University of Miami and Miami VA medical center for 15 years where she dedicated her time to working with Veterans in various facets of their health spectrum; incorporating the use of auricular acupuncture for mental health issues. She currently holds a faculty position as assistant professor at Nova Southeastern University in the department of neuro immune medicine.

Dr. Junco’s passion is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment she holds in keeping them healthy and well.Dr. Junco is a mother of two and in her spare time is an avid cyclist, runner and athlete who has competed in multiple races from triathlons to adventure racing.
